British Book Deals for the Weekend


We hadn't planned to send an email this weekend, but I happened to spot a number of great British ebook deals this afternoon, so I thought I'd round them up quickly for anyone who might be interested. You can never have too many books in the TBR ("to be read") list as winter approaches.

As always, keep in mind that deals can disappear quickly. At time of writing (Saturday the 26th), all the books below were less than $3.


British Book Deals This Weekend

  • Sarum by Edward Rutherfurd - This epic novels tells the story of five families—the Wilsons, Masons, Porteus, Shockleys, and Godfreys—whose intertwined fates reflect Britain’s evolving character over centuries.

  • The Rome Apartment by Kerry Fisher - After her husband asks for a break, Beth escapes to Rome, where 75-year-old Veronica sets her a list of challenges to rediscover joy, including dating an unsuitable man.
  • Lies of Mine by Cheryl Rees-Price - When youth worker David Harris is found dead at the site of a disused mine, DI Winter Meadows uncovers a link to a tragic incident years earlier.
  • Fly Me to Moongate Manor by Kate Forster - When Amanda, Simon, and Diana—each facing personal struggles—are brought together at Moongate Manor to restore its garden, they discover new beginnings and the meaning of home in the British countryside.
  • The Whisper Man by Alex North - Tom Kennedy moves to the town of Featherbank for a fresh start after his wife's death, only to find himself caught in the investigation of a new child abduction eerily similar to the crimes of an infamous serial killer known as "The Whisper Man."
  • The Hollow Man by Oliver Harris - At rock bottom, London detective Nick Belsey gets caught in an identity theft scam and possible murder that could make him rich—or cost him his life.


  • The Cabinets of Barnaby Mayne by Elsa Hart - In 1703 London, plant enthusiast Cecily Kay visits Sir Barnaby Mayne's house to study his rare collection, but when he is murdered, she uncovers inconsistencies in the case and risks her life to solve the mystery in a world of obsessive collectors.
  • The Last Hours by Minette Walters - In 1348 England, as the Black Death ravages Dorset, Lady Anne of Devilish seals her estate from the outside world. As tensions rise and food dwindles, her people must eventually face the transformed, plague-ridden world beyond their walls.
  • The Excitements by CJ Wray - The Williamson sisters, beloved WWII veterans in their late nineties, head to Paris with their great-nephew Archie to receive the Légion d’honneur, but the trip conceals a secret mission to settle old scores and pull off one final, daring heist.
  • The Framed Women of Ardemore House by Brandy Schillace - Neurodivergent book editor Jo Jones relocates to a family estate in North Yorkshire, but when the groundskeeper is found murdered in her home, she'll have to clear her name while uncovering family secrets.
  • The Highgate Cemetery Murder by Irina Shapiro - Series opener. When her brother dies mysteriously after scribbling cryptic notes, nurse Gemma Tate teams up with Inspector Sebastian Bell to uncover the truth, leading them from aristocratic mansions to the dangerous slums of London in a race for justice.
