BritBox August Schedule + Prime Day for British TV Fans

Since it's Amazon Prime Day (the 16th and 17th), the last half of this newsletter will highlight some of the best Prime member deals for those of us who love British TV - but before we get to that, it's worth mentioning that BritBox has announced their August schedule...

BritBox August 2024 Lineup - Along with a new season of Granite Harbour, they'll also be adding Good Ship Murder, a mystery set aboard a cruise ship.

New & Upcoming

On BritBox, season 1 of Killing Eve premiered on July 16th, with season 2 due on the 23rd. On the 17th, look for season 10B of 24 Hours in Police Custody. Season 27 of Silent Witness will follow on the 24th.

On Acorn TV, the 15th brought new episodes of My Life is Murder and Murdoch Mysteries, along with season 2 of The Restaurant. On the 22nd, they'll be adding season 9 of Candice Renoir.

On Starz, July 12th brought season 2 of The Serpent Queen. The historical series is based on Leonie Frieda's book about Catherine de Medici.
On AMC+ and BBC America, Planet Earth: Mammals premiered July 13th, with new episodes arriving weekly through August 17th. Season 4 of the post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller Snowpiercer premieres July 21st. The series began with the world turned into a frozen wasteland, with the few survivors living on a perpetually moving train.
On the PBS Documentaries channel (Amazon), Gods of Tennis premieres on the 23rd. It revisits the golden age of tennis, back when stars like Bjorn Borg, Billie Jean King, John McEnroe, Arthur Ashe, Martina Navratilova, and Chris Evert were on top.
