Shows Renewed or Unknown

After the Flood - Season 2 is now officially confirmed, filming begins in early 2025.

Agatha Raisin - Neither confirmed nor cancelled, but with such a long delay, it doesn't look great.

All Creatures Great & Small - Received a double renewal for seasons 5 and 6 + Christmas specials. Season 5 arrives in the UK on 19 September 2024, and it will premiere in the US on January 12th, 2025.

Annika - No word yet on season 3. Having withdrawals? The radio version has 6 seasons.

Avoidance - Cancelled after 2 seasons.

Back (2017) - No official updates since the second season aired in 2021. It's not looking good for season 3, but you never know. Between COVID and Webb's heart surgery, there were legitimate delays that had nothing to do with the quality or reception of the series. In October 2024, it was announced that HBO is developing a remake of the series. It hasn't been officially greenlit as of the last update we saw in October, but the original writer, Simon Blackwell, was working on the adaptation for HBO.

The Bay - No word yet on season 6.

Beyond Paradise - Season 3 filming has begun, and a Christmas special will air on BritBox on December 25.

Doctor Who - Season 15 is definitely happening (sometime in 2025), and Russell T Davies has stated he's working on another season of new episodes for a third Ncuti Gatwa-led season because he's confident it will happen. Gatwa posted about season 16 filming beginning in 2025, but the BBC's official spokesperson indicated Gatwa had spoken out of turn, and that no official decision would be made until after the new season airs.

Everyone Else Burns - Season 2 premiered in October in the UK, no word on US date.

Father Brown - In April 2024, it was confirmed that seasons 12 and 13 had been commissioned. No word on when they will premiere, but based on past patterns, we would expect to see season 12 in January 2025 and season 13 in January 2026.

Funny Woman - Season 2 premiered in the UK on 6 September 2024. It will return to PBS on February 2, 2025.

Good Omens - After the Neil Gaiman sexual misconduct allegations, the show's future was unclear - but they've announced the series will conclude with a long final episode. No dates yet.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder - Renewed for season 2, too soon for a premiere date.

Good Ship Murder - Channel 5 in the UK has announced there will be a season 2 AND 3, along with a Christmas special. No word on dates as of September 2024.

Magpie Murders & Moonflower Murders - Though there's been no word on a third season, Anthony Horowitz recently announced a third (and likely, final) book in the series, Marble Hall Murders, to be released in the US on May 13th, 2025 - so there will be source material to work with if it's renewed. The second season, Moonflower Murders, premiered on PBS on September 15th.

Mallorca Files - Season 3 now on Amazon, Elen Rhys has teased the possible return of a guest star in season 4 - but no official word yet.

McDonald & Dodds - No word yet on season 5, but stars have expressed an interest in continuing.

Midsomer Murders - It's now official - series 25 is in the works. Filming begins in 2025.

Miss Scarlet & the Duke - Season 5 will be the first after the departure of Stuart Martin, who plays "The Duke", and it's set to premiere January 12, 2025. Tom Durant Pritchard will play DI Alexander Blake.

The Night Manager - Eight years after season 1, Amazon got involved and seasons 2 and 3 were commissioned. Season 2 films in late 2024.

Peaky Blinders - While the series is over, a feature film spinoff began filming in September 2024. No release date yet.

Trigger Point - Season 3 has been confirmed, with filming to begin in January 2025.

Van der Valk - Season 4 has yet to premiere in the UK, so it may be a while before we hear anything about a possible season 5.

Vera - Season 14 filmed in summer 2024. Two 120-minute episodes will bring Brenda Blethyn's time as Vera to a close. At 78, she has certainly earned her retirement - but there have been unconfirmed rumours of a possible spinoff or continuation without her. An 11th Vera novel, The Dark Wives, was just published this autumn.
