British Book Bargains + Thursday Murder Club: Real Life Coopers Chase

Many of our readers will have read the Thursday Murder Club books, which follow a group of four people in a retirement community who have a weekly club dedicated to discussing (and eventually, solving) murders.

In speaking with other mystery readers, however, I've noticed that many don't realise the setting, Coopers Chase, was loosely based on the real life community that author Richard Osman's mum calls home. If you're curious to learn more about the "real Coopers Chase", you can check out this video in which Osman and his mother are interviewed on site.

And if you're wondering when we can look forward to the Netflix adaptation of the books, what we know right now is that (a) filming wrapped in September, and (b) there's still no release date or window other than "2025". With any luck, that will be EARLY 2025.
