*31* Brand New British TV Shows Coming to the US in May

This week marks 21 years since the premiere of Blue Murder, a 2003 crime drama that starred Caroline Quentin as DCI Janine Lewis, a single mum who balances the demands of motherhood with the demands of a promising career as a Manchester-based detective.

It went on for 5 seasons and 19 episodes, most of them feature-length (season 5 featured hour-long episodes instead). Though you can definitely feel the show's age, it's still well worth watching due to the strong character development.

In the US, you can watch Blue Murder without ads on BritBox, or free with ads on Roku Channel, Tubi, Freevee, Plex, and Pluto TV.

Young Jane does her best to help Sylvia maintain equilibrium. Production begins in August.

Today marks 17 years since the premiere of Bonekickers - which really doesn't feel that old to me when I watch it. The series stars Hugh Bonneville (Douglas is Cancelled), Julie Graham (Queens of Mystery), and Adrian Lester (Hustle), and it dramatises the lives of archaeologists who see a bit more excitement than most. Sadly, there's just one season - but you can watch it HERE. UPDATE: Last minute news addition - As we were prepping this email it was announced that Grantchester is going to...

Amazon's annual Prime Day sales are this week, and as usual, that means a number of streaming channels have been heavily discounted. For us, this is always a great time to subscribe to services we want to try, or to catch up on shows we want to see on services we don't use enough to keep year-round. Amazon makes it easy to cancel when you're ready (no calls or customer service necessary, just a few clicks on the "Memberships and Subscriptions" section of the account), and if you use something...
